This is my 3rd Nextar navagator. The 1st did quit after the first year. It frooze up. I sent it back and they charge me $70.00 to replace it. 2nd unit worked fine until someone stole it out of our car. These were both 3.5″ and I paid $300.00 for it. I then purchasaed a refurbished Magellian which I feel was junk. When I seen the price come down on the 4.3, I purchased one for my parents and another for me. It works great. I do not used it for photos or mp3 player but just for navagating and looking for resturants, ctc. Very easy to use and my lady guide keeps me informed when to turn etc. Well worth the money. Amazon.com sent it and I received them in 3 days. very happy

This is the second X4-t that we’ve bought. We passed the first one on to our son who’s gotten a lot of use out of it. If you’re comparing it to a 4.3 inch Garmin, Magellan, or Tom Tom that speak street names, any of those are superior. They’re also at least $100 more! For the money, this Nextar can’t be beat. If Nextar ever offers a map upgrade, I’d give it 6 stars!

The bigger screen is really nice–this product has some helpful features, i.e. the double-turning icon. We have had this brand before and like how the info is shown at the bottom of the screen–very easy to decipher. We’ve never had an expensive model–this one works well for us.

This item works ok for the reduced price (bought on gold box special), but is hard to program and takes forever to reprogram if you make a wrong turn. You can actually be more than 2 miles down the road before the recalculation is done. Nice screen.

Note: have not used the mp3 player or the picture viewer features on the device.
GPS:
- easy to mount and the suction stays!
- crisp display of the roads, names, etc.
- quick reroute (have purposely gone a different route)
- found static with text to voice at the loudest volume setting (easy fix)
- short battery life (approx little over 1 hours, good thing for car charger)
It comes in handy when detour is required (live in LA – horrible traffic). And perfect when I’m venturing somewhere new, ie golf courses, stores, doctor’s office, etc.
