Garmin continues to build up its nüvi 7xx series portable Automotive GPS Systems with its nüvi 765T, which adds a number of handy routing and communication features to an already impressive list of specs, including a 4.3-inch widescreen display, text-to-speech capabilities, media player, and FM transmitter for transmitting audio–including directions and MP3 music and audiobooks–from the device to your car radio. Garmin’s nüvis pack top of the line features into a slim form factor.. New to the nüvi 7×5 lineup is Garmin’s HotFix satellite prediction (which locates your position quickly and precisely), Lane Assist (which provides lane guidance and junction views when possible), automatic time zone transitioning, and 3D (more…)

Avoid this unit.
Like many others, my 765T died and had to be sent to Garmin for a fix. Still waiting on it. I updated it, since it was nagging about old maps, and it then lauched into the…

Love It!
The Garmin 765T has a very bright screen and easy to follow voice commands. I actually have the screen at 80% brightness and the voice at 60% volume because both are more than…

Nuvi 765T Good, but not BEST
I have owned the Nuvi 660 and was very pleased with that model. However, it was several years old and now there were some new features available that were not developed in the…

Works great most of the time.
This thing can save you if your late in a place you don’t know and you have a timeframe to get someplace.

Pleased
This GPS does everything pretty well. I Played with a Megellan, and two other Garmins ( 265 and 755 ). I had a Tom Tom in the past and hated the customer service.

The Worst GPS in the WorldAfter reading reviews on a number of GPS models, I bought the 765T as a step up from a very basic Nextar unit which has worked well for me.

First GPS
This is my first GPS so I was not certain exactly what to expect. I wish it had some sort of hood that could be used in the car.
