Garmin’s nüvi’s 265WT Automotive GPS Systems improve upon its 200-series predecessors by adding free real-time traffic updates from Navteq (for the life of the device) as well as Bluetooth connectivity to your cell phone. Other significant improvements in the 2×5 series include a predictive technology that provides faster satellite lock, a redesigned screen with more information, terrain maps, and an exciting new photo navigation feature. The 265WT provides complete maps for North America and the handy Text-to-Speech feature, so you get turn-by-turn spoken directions with the real names of streets (e.g. “turn left in 50 feet at Nebraska Way”, rather than merely “turn left in 50 feet”). The nüvi 2×5 models all sport the slim design that Ga (more…)

Shouldn’t a GPS be able to connect to the satellites?
I purchased this unit and returned it one week later. It worked very well for ONE DAY! After that, it kept loosing satellite signal.

Unit won’t turn on
I’m writing because I am on my second Garmin Nuvi 265WT and both have failed to power on after two months of use.

Take Directions With A LARGE Helping of Salt…..
I’ve had my Garmin Nuvi 265WT for about 5 months now. It isn’t a BAD GPS; but it isn’t all that great, either.

Garmin Nuvi 265WT Often Sounds Like the Teacher in Charlie Brown
I bought one of these in June after nearly missing my flight trying to find DFW airport. It worked great – for a few days.

My synopsis
The device has worked great. It has made my move half way across the country easier. I can look for groceries and all other kinds of stores through it.

Good budget GPS unit for North America, not great
The product has a fairly intuitive user interface, a good display & decent sound. I find its hands-free bluetooth interface with mobile phones to be a very useful plus.

Service
I recently acquired a Nuvi 265 WT from Amazon on line. The product is functional. I understood after registering on line that I am eligible for one free update of the map.

Product…great. Delivery situation…not so great.
Sorry for the essay. The product I received was excellent but getting it into my hands was a bit difficult.

Great purchase
First time GPS buyer, but I’ve used several over the years. By far, the best one I’ve used. You can’t go wrong with this one.
